Melissa holds a BA in International Studies from the University of Washington and has a passion for telling stories that amplify diverse voices and perspectives. She previously worked as the Program Coordinator at an NGO supporting LGBTQ refugees and asylum seekers in South Africa and as a Freelance Journalist covering Myanmar's military dictatorship.
